America's dirtiest hotels as rated by TripAdvisor

I chose to comment this article because it represents the good and bad aspects of Tripadvisor.

Indeed, on the one hand, the goal of Tripadvisor is for customer to rate the hotel they stayed in and, therefore, share their experience with other the website visitors.
Customers booking a room have totally the right to get more information about the hotel they are interested in in order to take their final decision.
With the economic crisis, taking holidays has became a luxury and people don't want to spend their money in a dirty place.

On the other hand, I don't think that people need to have a top ranking of the dirtiest hotels since they are supposed to look only at the hotels they are interested in. What i mean is that i'm not sure that this kind of tops are accurate.
In my opinion, it's more a way to make bad publicity freely and therefore, because of these kinds of ranking, it will be very difficult for the hoteliers to improve their representation and brand image on the web.
